Ever do something that makes you laugh and feel pretty stupid? I did. Not once but TWICE I stepped on a rake and the outcome was pretty much like this except not as loud. TWICE.

I've been busy this evening setting up for the nearly new sale and I'm done and dusted for tonight. I found some amazing bargains for Digi and Kalila including a doctor who toy collection for £3.

I've been given Kalila's assessment book from school and one of the pages contained a five minute observation:

KN is sat at the book corner with a baby in a carrier. She selects a book off of the shelf. She looks at this carefully turning the pages. She then places the book back on the shelf. She walks over to the creative table and says "I want to make a caterpillar for Digi". After getting a piece of paper, KN sticks two circles on it. "can you write caterpillar on it please?" I do this and then KN walks over to the cress seeds. She picks up a magnifying glass and looks in the pots with seeds in. KN look sat each pot in turn before saying, "this one is mine!"
KN then puts the magnifying glass back and comes to the creative table. "Can I do another sticking?"
I leave KN sticking at the table.

I'll be so sad when Digi has to say goodbye to his teachers. At least Kalila has another year there.

Digi has his library session with his future reception teachers on Thursday and I'm so pleased to say there wasn't a single tear when I left him and when I asked him if he wanted to do it again he said, "Yes!". It was only half an hour but I'm so so pleased he was comfortable. Having all his little friends there helped I'm sure. We'll do it all again every Thursday for the next five weeks. He'll also have one more hour play session in the classroom and a teddy bears picnic. This primary school has really thought out their induction process.

So glad to hear he is coming around. Our little boy is growing up way too fast. Long Sigh.....

Miss Boo is always thinking of her big bro - how sweet.

Tools and darkness never mix - please don't tell me you did this during the day :)

Daisy did a similar induction and I was so worried about her as she didn't know anyone etc. But she did brilliantly and absolutely adores school! She hates the hoilidays, I can't tell you how many times we had tears over Easter coz she wanted to be at school!! Hope Digi is just the same :-)

Aw! They both seem to really love school. K starts this fall and I am nervous about it. She's not one for taking direction. Swimming lessons are a bit challenging, but fun.
Also, that is an amazing deal on the Dr. Who toys!
